Hunting Tips – How to Find a Job in Israel Using Facebook

As a career coach based in Tel Aviv, I almost always suggest for my clients to look on Face book to find a English-speaking job in Israel. Facebook has become a powerful tool for finding job opportunities in Israel. The platform has many job groups where employers post job openings and job seekers can apply. In this article, we will explain how to find a job in Israel using Facebook.

1 – Create a Profile:

Firstly, f you don’t already have a Facebook profile, create one with a great looking professional photo. Don’t forget to add a brief description of your skills and work experience.

It’s important to make your profile public so potential employers can easily find and contact you. In addition, please take down any party photos that might turn off any potential employer HR personnel. You don’t want any possibility of losing a great job opportunity.

2 – Join Job Groups:

Secondly, join Facebook groups that are dedicated to job opportunities in Israel. There are many such groups available on Facebook, and you can search for them by typing “jobs in Israel” in the Facebook search bar. Once you find the relevant groups, click the “Join” button to become a member.

3 – How to Find a Job in Israel Using Facebook – Browse Job Listings:

Thirdly, once you have joined the job groups, you will start to see job postings in your Facebook newsfeed. Browse through the job listings to find ones that match your skills and experience.

Basically, you have to start looking through all those posts. Don’t just scroll past them! Actually read what they say. See if the jobs match what you’re good at and what you know.

Also, check out how they talk about the job. Does it sound fun and interesting? Or does it sound boring? You want to find a place where you’ll be happy working.

Look for clues about what the company is like. Do they seem nice? Do they care about their workers? Maybe they talk about fun team activities or good benefits. That’s a good sign!

In addition, don’t forget to check where the job is. Is it near your house? Or is it far away? Do you have to go to an office, or can you work from home? These are important things to think about.

Finally, see how they want you to apply. Is it easy? Do they give you clear instructions? A good company will make it easy to apply. And make sure you check the date of the post, so you don’t apply for a job that’s already been filled.

Basically, browsing job listings is like being a detective. You’re looking for clues to find the perfect job for you. So, take your time, read carefully, and find your treasure!

4 – Apply for Jobs:

Fourthly, if you find a job that interests you, click on the link to read the full job description and application instructions. Follow the instructions to apply for the job… and do it.

You’ll need to send them your CV. Think of it like your professional highlight reel. But before you send it, make sure it’s on point.

Take a good, hard look at your CV. Does it actually show off your skills? Is it easy to read? Does it look like you put some effort into it? A messy CV is a big no-no.

6 – How to Find a Job in Israel Using Facebook – Be Active:

Sixthly, Be Active! Check the job groups regularly for new job postings and apply for jobs that match your skills and experience. It’s also important to stay active in the groups, by posting questions, updates, and comments. This will keep you engaged with the community and increase your chances of finding a job.

7 – Be Professional:

When you apply for a job, make sure to be professional and follow the instructions provided. Submit a complete application package, and be sure to proofread your resume and cover letter for spelling and grammar errors.

By joining job groups, creating a professional profile, browsing job listings, networking, and being active, you can increase your chances of finding a job that matches your skills and experience.

You see, I remember the day I arrived in Israel I had NO money – NO friends – and NO job.

Here’s my story:

Once upon a time, about seven years ago (and after 15+ years of soul-searching), I had a powerful self-realization.

The purpose of my life, was meant to be lived through helping other people get what they want from life.

Therefore, with my 15+ years of experience in the field of sales,  and customer service I decided to open a sales training company.

I never thought that I would open my own business in Israel… but I did!  I decided to name my sales training company Sales Development Israel.

Then, I began to use all of my spare time before work and after work creating training materials, and trying to acquire clients.

In addition, I was sending emails and cold calling companies in Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Ramat Gan, Jerusalem, Bat Yam, and Holon.

Basically, I was reaching our across the whole country of Israel during my efforts.

I doing everything in my power to generate momentum. in my new business  Great news is that I was able to find my first few clients!

However, something I immediately noticed was at the conclusion of my sales training workshops, two things would happen consistently happen:

First, I would receive feedback that my sales training workshops were providing massive value for sales teams.

Second, after every sales training session I provided one or two of the students in the course would privately approach me.

They would speak with me about their personal struggles not only in their sales job, but also in their lives.

Then one time, a female student offered to pay me for a one-on-one session outside of the office.  As a struggling entrepreneur, I accepted.

Then, another student, at another company, offered to pay me for my time to help prepare him for a job promotion interview. – He succeeded in landing the job that we prepared him for!

After that, another student, at another company, from another sales training workshop, asked me to help him build his self-confidence.

We worked together as a team, and I saw him evolve before my eyes!

Each of these wonderful people I began to work one-on-one with,  had their own unique challenge, and asked me for help.

These first clients would call me their “Life Coach” or “Career Counselor“, and the great news was that I was able to help them!

Eventually, enough people called me their Career Counselor or their Life Coach that I began to call myself a “Career Counselor” and ”Life Coach”… and I began to take on new individual clients as such.

Moreover, after all these years… I’m happy to say I have helped hundreds and hundreds of people just like you!
